Help us weather the Coronavirus pandemic
The Coronavirus swept through the U.S. at full speed. When it made its way to Wisconsin back in March, HorseSense was forced to cancel our therapeutic horseback riding lessons to assure the health and safety of all staff, volunteers, riders and their loved ones. At first, we hoped to resume riding after a short, two-week closure; however, due to the significant spread of the virus, government officials mandated several orders to combat the outbreak, forcing all non-essential businesses and organization to close down.
HorseSense’s Spring Session of therapeutic horseback riding lessons was canceled as a result, as well as two of our major fundraisers. This significantly impacted our nonprofit organization, and we’ve lost more than $25,000 so far—a large amount for our small operation.
With orders now lifted, we are happy to resume lessons and start helping our community cope with the anxiety, fear, isolation and loneliness this pandemic is causing all of us to feel. But in order to offer lessons in the safest way possible, we are reducing the amount of riders we works with until it is safe for everyone involved.

The Coronavirus has had a significant impact on us, our horses and — most importantly — our riders. HorseSense operates on a very conservative budget and we need your support to fund our program until we are able to service our community at full-capacity once again.
